Poem-Finding meaning in meaningless coincidence
Taken aback by an unusual coincidence that appeared out of nowhere.
The element of mystery it carries doesn’t seem common and looks very rare.
On catching our attention, we give it a close look.
The dumbstruck feeling inside got us more hooked.
But on observing carefully, we find traces of coincidence happening all around.
It fascinates the mind so much that our desire to discover its origins refuses to die down.
But the thought of coincidence being universal never crossed our minds.
Even with full evidence, one finds it difficult to understand its full picture from behind.
Unexpected events are held together by an unseen force.
Our normal expectation gets thwarted when we see it getting enforced.
Our minds get tricked into searching for similar events forcibly.
Our attention bias links the occurrence of our events with those of others and we term them “common” as if they happen normally.
When finding something interesting, our subconscious mind always brings it up during our exploration.
On discovering it by chance, our awe is visible, wondering about its correlation.
Due to our focus on being distinct, many things that could go together are ignored.
But the recurrence of similar events assures its presence all over the board.
