Poem: Childhood Reminiscence

The memorable part of childhood remain etched in our mind

The people around us were so loving, careful, and kind.

Duty and responsibilities were never been assigned

The word ‘worry’ we never knew and our cheerfulness never declined.

The curious and exploratory nature always searches for something to find.

The fearless mind of questioning anything is a wonderful thing to remind.

There was no baggage of hatred, anger and ego & our mind were always at peace.

Good moments always flew from all sides and seldom cease.

The seed of innocence inside us was always pure.

Our mischief was always tolerated and endured.

We never had to suppress our emotions — we could cry or laugh anytime anywhere.

The carefree nature never allowed us to hold ourselves or get scared.

We never had to bother about what others think about us.

We didn't have a mature mind for these things to discuss.

We always remained original and there was nothing to fake.

The journey of life was so light and smooth that there was nothing at stake.
